The Farewell Tour Live 2001

I was lucky enough to see three shows in Melbourne, and one in Sydney on this tour. I was able to take my camera in, and get these cool photos! (I also have audios of these shows).

At one of the shows, there was a flyer left on all the seats advertising an official after-party at a club in the Melbourne Casino (with "no guarantee of band appearance"). Here is the flyer:

My mates Dave Peck, Mick Peck, and David Sell and I decided to go and check it out. To start with there were lost of other kiss fans there - after quite a few hours, most of them had left. A while after that - Dave Sell says "Guys, that's Gene Simmons over there - and I'm not kidding!" - sure enough, the Demon himself talking to some people.

Most people were still oblivious at this point. After talking to some fans for a while, he went through to a private area.

Later on, the whole band turned up (the band at this point of course was Paul, Gene, Ace and Eric Singer). We were in the downstairs area, whilst the band was in an upstairs area, which included a balcony they could look out over if they wanted to. A while later, Ace came down the stairs to go to the toilet accompanied (or should I say propped up) by Tommy Thayer who was working for the band, and a security guy - we couldn't really get a chance to speak to him.

A wee while later, I'm standing by the stairs with my beer - I reach down to put the beer on the stair for some reason - probably to get my hands free to get something out of a pocket or my jacket - next thing I knew, my mate asks me "Did you see him??!!" "No", I say, "who?" "Paul Stanley!" Unbeknown to me, just at the time I decided to bend over and put my beer down, Paul Stanley walks right past! The joke between my mates and I now, is that I sniffed Paul's crutch :(

Probably one of the funniest things that happened all night involved Gene. He was on the balcony talking to a girl. We could see he whispered something to her - next thing, she lifted up her top and flashed everyone below! Luckily my mate had his camera at the ready.

Not to be outdone, Gene decided to flash us as well! He must have made a dare with the girl "If you flash your boobs, I'll flash my butt". Sure enough, he dropped his trousers! So, probably for the first time in KISStory, here's a photo of Gene Simmons' ass:
